If something isn’t right with your order, we’re here to help. Whether you need to return an item or report shipping damage, our team will review your request and work toward a fast, fair resolution.

Return & Freight Claims Policy


Effective Date: 3/18/2026

Returns

If a return label is issued by Metal Fab Guys, a 15% restocking fee plus applicable freight charges will apply. Returns must be initiated within 30 days of purchase.

To ensure credit is processed without delay:

    • Items must be returned in original packaging
    • Products must be in resalable condition
    • Do not write on boxes or apply excessive tape (may result in denied credit)

Once received and inspected, approved returns are processed within 24–48 hours.


Freight & Delivery Responsibility

All shipments must be inspected at the time of delivery.

    • Any damage or shortages must be noted on the Bill of Lading (BOL) or delivery receipt before signing
    • If a shipment arrives with visible pallet damage, refuse delivery and contact us immediately
    • Once a BOL is signed clear, the shipment is considered accepted and carrier claims may be limited

All freight damage claims must be reported within 24–48 hours of delivery


Freight Terms (F.O.B. Shipping)

Most equipment ships F.O.B. from the manufacturer or distributor warehouse. Once the carrier takes possession, responsibility transfers to the receiving party.

Your signature on the delivery receipt confirms acceptance of the shipment as received and in good condition, unless otherwise noted.


Receiving & Inspection Guidelines

To protect your ability to file a claim:

    • Inspect and inventory all items upon delivery
    • Open cartons if there is any doubt of damage
    • Clearly document any visible or suspected damage on the BOL before signing
    • Retain all packaging materials for inspection if needed

Failure to document damage at delivery may result in denied freight claims.


Damaged Shipments

Visible Damage

      • Refuse the shipment
      • Contact Metal Fab Guys immediately to initiate a return and replacement

Concealed Damage

      • Must be reported within 48 hours
      • Take clear photos of packaging and product
      • Retain all packaging and do not move the item
      • Claims are subject to carrier inspection and approval


Parcel Shipments (UPS/FedEx)

Small parcel shipments are handled separately. Any damage must be reported immediately upon receipt so we can initiate a claim with the carrier.


Return Authorization

No merchandise may be returned without prior approval.

    • All returns require a Return Authorization (RA)
    • Returns must be prepaid
    • A 15% restocking fee applies
    • Requests must be made within 30 days of purchase
    • Original invoice is required
    • Certain items may be non-returnable
